You will see lots of these are repeated from my previous lists. That’s because I didn’t finish those lists, so I just bumped the books to this one! No big deal.

I’m wearing the biggest comfy sweater right now, and I’m drinking hot cocoa. I’m about to read some more of the Maze Runner. 🙂 Life is so good.

Leave more book suggestions/reviews below. 🙂 Please and thank you!

The Maze Runner

I have wanted to read this book for a LONG time. I had heard from so many people that it was amazing, and it has such great reviews. As a proud fangirl, I had to try it!

I haven’t finished it yet, though, so no spoilers! So far, I have not been disappointed! Every page is riveting and James Dashner is such a skilled writer! He so perfectly weaves this horrifying and yet addictive world that you just can’t put the book down! I absolutely love Minho. He’s probably my favorite. And so far I really love Teresa too!

Here’s the summary on the back of the book to get you interested:

“Everything is going to change.

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. He has no recollection of his parents, his home, or how he got where he is. His memory is empty.

But he’s not alone. When the lift doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade, a large expanse enclosed by stone walls.

Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning, for as long as anyone can remember, the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night, for just as long, they’ve closed tight. Every thirty days a new boy is delivered to the lift. And no one wants to be stuck in the Maze after dark.

The Gladers were expecting Thomas’s arrival. But the next day, a girl is sent up- the first girl ever to arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers. The Gladers have always been convinced that if they can solve the maze that surrounds the Glade, they might find their way home… wherever that may be. But it’s looking more and more as if the maze is unsolvable.

And something about the girl’s arrival is starting to make Thomas feel different. Something is telling him that he might just have some answers- if he can only find a way to retrieve the dark secrets locked within his own mind.”

It is SO GOOD! Remember, I still haven’t finished it yet. When I finish, I will try to give a personal review/opinion. 🙂

Until then, bye bookies!

PS I re-read TFIOS yesterday. It made me cry AGAIN. I recently also bought Looking For Alaska. I can’t wait for more John Green-induced-tears to be shed!

My Summer Read List Success/Failure

Good evening, loves. How are you all? I hope you’re feeling better than I am. I am sitting in my bed with the laptop in sweats and a t shirt. It’s Friday. I just spent about three hours finishing a book I got yesterday. Normally I would be ecstatic about these conditions. But I have a terrible cold. 😦 I think I’m on the end of it, though.

Also, today I had to get a sports physical in order to play sports this year. Ick! Hate those!

Anywho, today’s spectacular post is going to be about My Summer Reading. Or lack thereof. 😉 Just kidding, just kidding. I actually read a LOT this summer! But I also hung out with friends a lot. (Eww, socializing.) Buuuuut I may have set my expectations a little too high.

What can I say? People don’t usually want to hang out with me so much! 😛 Something about the way I start reading when I get bored. Even if they are babbling about their current boyfriend or something like that. Like am I supposed to care? To relate? Cuz I really don’t. Sorry sorry.

Okay! Okay!

My Summer Read List:

  • Delirium Series

Only read Delirium, the first book. I absolutely LOATHED the ending, and so I didn’t make an effort to find the rest. Oops.

  • 13 Reasons Why

THIS WAS THE BOOK I WANTED TO READ THE MOST. And guess what? I NEVER GOT TO READ IT. *le wail of disappointment. I will have to get my hands on it soon.

  • Matched Series

See Delirium^ Hated ending, only read first book, etc.

  • The Book Thief

I really wanted to read this too. But unfortunately, I never got to it. The movie trailer for it looks amazing!

  • Maze  Runner

^see above

  • Just Listen

  • Before I Fall

  • The Future of Us

I actually read this one! I really enjoyed it: it had a unique plotline that readers could relate to and that sucked you in right away.

  • The Fault In Or Stars

Oh my feels. This book tore my heart out and shredded it like cheese in a cheese grater. You MUST read it. And the movie is coming out in a couple months! EEP!

  • What Happened To Goodbye

I loved this book! It may be my favorite Sarah Dessen book, and I ADORE her books! I could really relate to the basketball relationship with her father. I loved the setting and back story. A shelf-topper for sure. (I put all my favorite books on the top shelf of my book shelf..)

  • Along For The Ride

I really enjoyed the setting, characters, and ending of this book. The ending was so full of hope. And pie. Just loved it.

  • Lock And Key

Excellent. The necklace? AGGHHH MY FEELS

Though I found the main character male just a little too stereotypical.

  • The Truth About Forever

I liked this book. It was a good read. Not my favorite by her, though. I found Wes very insightful and charming; and thought her old bf was a total not-so-nice word. A worthy read for sure! XD

  • The Lullaby

It was never at the library, and it wasn’t at the top of my “To Buy” list.

  • Keeping The Moon

I love the sunglasses, the portrait, and Norman.. Gosh I just love Norman. He’s just a big teddy bear beach bum sweetheart.

Though I have to say, my favorite character by far was Isabel. She’s just so strong and such a spitfire. Like I just love her.

Kind of like another Isabelle Ik…

  • Someone Like You

Eh. Good but not great. The beginning showed massive promise. Then I feel like the book just seemed to take on a whole new perspective. It was good, but not great.

  • Every Soul a Star

This book was about 12 year olds. Needless to say I wasn’t hooked and never finished it.

  • The Summer I turned Pretty series

Never got farther than the first one. I kind of lost interest.

  • The Noteboook

I want to read this so bad. Like ugh.

  • The Host

LOVED THE MOVIE AND THE BOOK. Hopefully you will be seeing a post about that soon. 😉

  • My Sister’s Keeper

  • The Lying Game

  • The List

I want this. 😦

  • If I Stay

  • Stealing Heaven

Hurrah! A book that I actually read! That was starting to get depressing..

This book I had mixed feelings about. It was really good at some points and only so so at others.

  • So B. It

Also actually read this one. It took me forever to get into the book, but once I did; I found it very innocent and sweet. The ending was sad, though kind of expected.

  • The Moon And More

Much better review on this book! It had a plotline that I enjoyed, though scoffed at when I began it. Once I was in the book, though, I couldn’t put it down. 🙂

  • Gone series

I read the first two. I have mixed feelings on these books. On the one hand, they’re thrilling and have a unique storyline that is fun to contemplate. On the other, they’re extremely creepy, very confusing on the amount of characters, and have VERY long descriptions.

However, I’m sure that if I need something to read, I will get to the rest eventually.

  • Heaven Looks A Lot Like The Mall

Hmm this book was recommended to me by a friend. I liked it, but the writing style.. Sometimes I loved it and others it just infuriated me. Kinda slow, but worth the read.

  • That Summer

Eh. Worth reading if you’re into Sarah Dessen. But.. Not a fave.

  • I Am Number Four

Ooh! This book was fab! It was really interesting, and very Host-esque what with its different worlds and aliens and stuff. I had fun reading it! Though there could have been more sensory details.. I can’t wait to get my hands on the second one though!

  • Infernal Devices series

I LOVED this series. It was awesome, romantic, compelling, and fast.

HOWEVER. I really could have lived extremely happily WITHOUT the epilogue of the last book. 😦 Tragic crying ensued.

NEW FAVORITE! 🙂 I have read all the books in this series, except for the last one, which has yet to come out, and I LOVED them! The Infernal Devices^^^ is actually the prequel series to these! These books are fast, unique, hilarious, and very full of incest! They kept me on my toes.

  • Time Keeper

Never found it. 😦 Gonna have to add to Winter Read List. <— Guess I’m gonna make that a thing.

  • Evermore series

To be fair, this series was JUST recommended to me at the very end of the summer, so there was no time considering I was still obsessing over Mortal Instruments.

  • Trill Trilogy

Also JUST recommended to me. By the same person. My friend Hannah has very good taste in books. 😀

  • Dust Lands series

I saw this review in the back of a Mortal Instruments book, not long before summer ended. The review said something along the lines of “Hunger Games set the bar for dystopian books. These may have RAISED that bar.”

So yeah, it sounded like a good read!! Going to have to add it to the newly though of Winter Read Liost. 🙂 I wonder how long THAT one will be!

And that, my friends, is the end of my acclaimed read list. I think my main problem was that I picked too many series. Not enough time for all the books in those series and stand alone books.

So, whether it was a success or failure is up to you guys, but I just have to say:

This read list is the best I’ve had by far. This summer, these books, have changed me a bit. 🙂 Every book gives me new perspective, and there were a lot in this list! Maybe all this reading will make me  wiser.

Then again, maybe not. XD

May the odds be ever in your favor,

Never trust a duck,

and just have a fantabulous day.

New Layout!

Do you guys like the new theme I picked?

I personally love it and my new BG pic! (The background pic is all my favorite fandoms! :))

If you don’t like it, I will switch it to something else. But I was SO sick of the old theme. So little-kidd-ish! :’D

I have a hundred great posts for you guys planned; I just have to get off my butt and type them up!

It’s not ALL laziness, school has started, and it has been CRA-ZY!

PS Have any of you guys seen the new Divergent sneak peeks?? *SQUEALS AND DIES!

It’s Sundaaaaay!

Heyy guys!

So yesterday was terrible.
Today was fab.
And tomorrow is going to be amazing and the best day ever.
Want to know why?
I will tell you why.

I have to get up at 7 tomorrow, even though it’s summer. Bleh. BUT:

Maybe if I get bored I will see Sea of Monsters too. I hear it’s not very good so I haven’t really put forth an effort to see it..

Yep. My parents used to punish me by taking away my flashlight and books. :’D

Awww!! This is so cute! Percabeth tho.

Like car rides.
Agh! There is a fly buzzing around my face!

Ha! That is so twisted and hilarious!!

OMG. That would be so great though.
I love ice cream!

Take that Jason.

This is so true though. It’s kind of sad.

Belle is probably the Disney princess I can most relate to.
Anyone else?

She is so gorgeous and inspiring. Go Emma!

To Whoever made this: *tips hat

True dat.
This pretty much just made my life. Oh tumblr!

Seriously though. They probably don’t.

That’s good math right there.

Love these!

K that’s all for now!
Oh wait!
This like killed me.

This Blog Needs a New Name..

Hmm… Well hai guise!

So my posts haven’t been very random lately. They’re all books, books, books. Mainly because I love book stuff. A lot. And I’m sure you guys do too.
But either I need to change my name or I have to vary things a little bit. I thought I might start posting things about music and movies also. Would you guys hate me if I did?

Anyway here’s the good stuff!

Ha! Oh Tobias love. <4

Aw! This is really sweet!

I love this.

That’s not scary. It’s terrifying! I love the feel of a page under my fingers, the weight of a book on my lap! The one reason I have a kindle is cuz flipping a page is soundless, so I can read as late as I want without my parents knowing. XD. Oh and the amount of books on it!

Screw everyone! Yeah, I hate it when this happens!!

The horror!

So accurate.

Yep. I have to get up at 6 tomorrow and yet I will probably be up until like 2 hours before.

The cash just appears.

I’m a bibliophile with abibliophobia.

I’m dying. :’D

Fat Amy+fictional characters=AWESOME

And you know that he could never love you back.. 😦 cuz, you know, he doesn’t exist.

Why can’t I have love like that?! 😥

So true! I want to own every book I have ever liked, unfortunately, my wallet wouldn’t like that.

Every time.

They better appreciate it! Did anyone else read this in Sebastian’s voice?

This is my life right here.

This is so perfect. Now you can guys can save and share it too! 🙂

I love this. 🙂 If only they had Annabeth teaching us about strategy, this would be even more perfect.

Hope you enjoyed!
Remember to comment and like! It makes me feel like I’m actually writing to people, instead of just typing some random mumbo jumbo.
Should I post more random stuff or stick to what this blog has been about for the last couple months?

Totally random, I know, but I found this hilarious! This girl is my hero. 😀
